Privacy Policy for Article Grabber
Effective date: July 17, 2026
Article Grabber is designed to operate entirely on your device. We do not collect, store, sell, share, or transmit personal information or browsing data.
Data processing
When you click “Grab article,” the extension temporarily processes the active page to extract:
- Article text
- Page title and URL
- Author
- Publication
- Publication date
This processing occurs locally within your browser. The extracted content is not sent to any server or third party.
File storage
Article Grabber creates a text file containing the extracted content. Chrome’s Save As dialog allows you to choose where the file is stored. The extension does not retain a separate copy.
Permissions
Article Grabber uses:
- activeTab: Temporarily accesses the current page after you activate the extension.
- scripting: Runs the article-extraction code on the active page.
- downloads: Saves the resulting text file to a location you choose.
These permissions are used only to provide the extension’s core functionality.
Analytics and tracking
Article Grabber does not use analytics, advertising, cookies, tracking technologies, or remote code.
Third parties
Article Grabber does not transmit information to third parties. It includes Mozilla Readability locally to identify the main content of a page.
Children’s privacy
Article Grabber does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated if the extension’s functionality or data practices change. Any revised policy will include an updated effective date.
